Sourcing from Vietnam shouldn't feel like a gamble
None of these are rare. They are the six ways an overseas wood order quietly goes wrong — and each one is a gap we close, whether you buy from our factory or use us to check someone else's.
You can't tell a factory from a trading desk
The website, the catalogue and the samples look identical. One has presses and a kiln; the other has a laptop and a markup. You only find out which after the deposit clears.
The bulk order doesn't match the sample
The approved sample is flawless. Then the core gets thinner, the glue grade drops, the face grade slips a notch — and you discover it when the container is already at your port.
Your compliance file has holes in it
EUDR needs geolocation and traceability. US buyers ask for CARB P2 / TSCA. Your supplier sends a photo of a certificate and hopes that's enough. It isn't — and the liability is yours, not theirs.
Nobody checks the goods before they sail
You can't fly to Vietnam for every production run. So loading happens unwitnessed, and the first inspection of your own cargo is the one you do after paying freight.
A dispute leaves you with nothing to hold
Chat messages and a pro-forma invoice are not a claim. Without contracts and evidence that stand up under Vietnamese law, there is no realistic route to recover anything.
Mixed orders mean juggling five suppliers
Film-faced from one, moulding from another, pallets from a third — five quality standards, five sets of paperwork, five chances for one late shipment to hold up your container.
If you import wood into the EU, the EUDR obligation is yours
Under the EU Deforestation Regulation, the operator placing goods on the EU market — the importer, not the Vietnamese supplier — files the Due Diligence Statement and carries the legal responsibility. Your supplier cannot do that for you. What they can do is give you evidence solid enough to file on. Most cannot. We built our production records around it.
Plot geolocation
GPS coordinates and polygons (GeoJSON) for the harvest areas behind your order — the format the EU Information System expects.
Batch traceability
Records linking your specific container back to raw material and harvest area, so a spot check doesn't dead-end.
Legality evidence
Harvest permits, species and origin declarations, and mill documentation — organised as a file, not a folder of phone photos.
We prepare and screen the evidence — we are not a certification body, and the DDS filing remains the EU operator's legal responsibility.
Four ways to buy wood from Vietnam
Marketplaces, sourcing agents and inspection firms each solve one piece. We are the manufacturer and the verification layer at once — which is the unusual part.
| B2B marketplace | Sourcing agent | Inspection firm | LELOI | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| You are buying from the actual manufacturer | No | No | Sometimes | Yes |
| Someone physically visits the production line | No | Sometimes | Yes | Yes |
| EUDR / traceability documents prepared for you | No | No | No | Yes |
| Vietnam-law contracts & dispute-ready evidence | No | No | No | Yes |
| One supplier for mixed wood-product containers | Sometimes | Sometimes | No | Yes |
| Independent verification of any other supplier | No | No | Yes | Yes |
means “sometimes, depending on who you get”. If you already have a supplier you trust, use us for verification only — that is a real option, not a consolation prize.
From specification to sealed container
You see evidence at every stage — not a silence that ends with a container at your port.

We reply within 24 hours with price, lead time and available capacity. Samples ship on request so you approve the real thing before committing.
Production with evidence
You receive production photos, in-line QC records and the compliance pack — EUDR geolocation, traceability and legality documents — as the order is built, not after.
Loading you can witness
Pre-shipment inspection and loading photos before the container seals, then full export documentation handed over for customs at your end.

The questions buyers actually ask us
Are you a factory or a trading company?+
We manufacture. We run two mills in Vietnam — Thanh Hoa and Bac Giang — and the factory photos on this site are our own lines, not stock images. For items outside our own production (some LVL, MDF and pellets) we consolidate from partner mills and say so openly on the quote.
What is your minimum order quantity?+
Normally one 20ft or 40ft container per product line. Mixed containers combining plywood, moulding and other wood products are welcome — that is often how new buyers start with us. Tell us your target volume and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
Can you supply the EUDR documents my customs broker needs?+
Yes. Every wood order ships with plot geolocation (GeoJSON), batch-level traceability linking the shipment back to harvest areas, and legality documentation. This is the data your Due Diligence Statement is built from. Note the legal responsibility for filing the DDS remains with you as the EU operator — we supply the evidence, you make the declaration.
Which certifications do you hold?+
FSC, CE, CARB P2 / TSCA Title VI and ISPM-15 heat treatment for packaging. Certificates are issued to the specific product and mill, so we send the exact documents that cover your order rather than a generic bundle — ask and we will match them to your specification.
What payment terms do you offer?+
Typically 30% deposit with the balance against a copy of the bill of lading, or an irrevocable L/C at sight for larger programs. For a first order we would rather agree terms that let you verify us cheaply than push you into a large upfront payment.
How do I know the bulk order will match my approved sample?+
Production photos and QC records during the run, plus pre-shipment inspection before the container is sealed. If you would rather have a third party check it, our Inspection Service does exactly that — including on our own goods, which is the point.
I already have a Vietnamese supplier. Can you just verify them?+
Yes, and we do it regularly. SellerCheck verifies any Vietnamese supplier's legal identity, registration, export history and real production capacity — whether or not you ever buy wood from us. It is a separate paid service with its own report.
How fast can you ship?+
Lead time depends on the product and the season. Packing plywood moves fastest; primed moulding with custom profile tooling takes longest because we cut knives to your drawing. We quote a real date with the price, and tell you early if it slips.
