Your forest may already hold carbon value. Find out before others do.
LELOI helps growers assess that potential, group into a cohort large enough to matter, and connect to authorized certification bodies and buyers. We do not issue or verify credits — independent authorized bodies do.

The window is opening
30%
Large emitters may offset up to 30% of over-quota emissions with credits — real demand for forest credits.
US$51.5M
Already paid to Vietnam for North-Central forest emission reductions (World Bank).
2029
Full international trading opens. A dossier takes 1–2 years — prepare now, go first.
Why growers rarely get there alone
You don't know if you qualify
Not every forest is eligible. Without screening you may spend months and end up with nothing.
Too small on your own
A few hectares alone rarely covers the audit cost. Projects only become feasible at scale.
The paperwork is foreign
Baselines, methodologies, MRV, audits — all in English, all technical.
Hard to tell who is real
Brokers promise big money. Few can name an authorized standard, verifier or a real buyer.
What LELOI does with you
You keep the land and the trees. We handle assessment, grouping and introductions.
Assess & digitize
We map your forest and score its carbon readiness — know the real potential before spending effort.
Group into a cohort
We aggregate many growers into a cohort large enough for a project to be feasible.
Prepare & connect
We prepare the readiness package and connect you to authorized standards, verifiers (VVB) and buyers.
Track transparently
Every step, document and benefit split is recorded openly — you can check it any time.
What you gain by going through LELOI
Three certification bodies — pros and cons
LELOI does not sell any single standard. We lay out the trade-offs so you can choose.
Gold Standard
Light upfront · EU buyers
Best if you start with little capital
Advantages
- Free to open an account — no upfront registration fee
- Strong European demand, often a better price
- High reputation, tied to sustainable-development goals
Trade-offs
- Charges per credit issued (~US$0.25) plus annual fees
- Must prove sustainable-development contribution — heavier dossier
- Fewer methodologies for planted forest than Verra
Verra (VCS)
Largest market · easiest to sell
Best for large aggregated blocks
Advantages
- World's biggest registry — many buyers, easy to sell
- Has VM0047, built for planting/restoration
- Widely accepted by international corporates
Trade-offs
- ~US$3,000 registration before any credit exists
- Very strict dossier, several review rounds — slower
- Not efficient for small groups; needs real scale
Plan Vivo
Built for smallholders
Best for small household clusters
Advantages
- Designed for smallholders — scale is not a barrier
- At least 60% of credit revenue must reach the community
- Community-story credits attract premium buyers
Trade-offs
- Smaller market, fewer buyers than Verra / Gold Standard
- Dossier fees plus registry upkeep (~US$800/year)
- Lower volume — harder to sell large amounts fast
The biggest cost is not the registry fee — it is independent validation & verification (~US$15,000–25,000) plus periodic monitoring, similar across all three. Being properly prepared matters more than picking a standard.
You are a good fit if…
- Legal land/forest use rights (title, allocation or lease)
- Planted forest, rubber, or coffee agroforestry
- Willing to keep the forest standing long term (10+ years)
- Small area is fine — LELOI groups growers into a cohort
Project types
Planted timber forest
Acacia, eucalyptus — carbon value alongside the timber.
Coffee agroforestry
Keep the coffee; shade trees may add carbon potential.
Low-emission rice
Alternate wetting & drying — can qualify for carbon programs.
Questions growers actually ask
Do I pay LELOI to be assessed?
The consultation and initial readiness screening are free. Any real cost later (audit, registration) is put in writing before you decide.
Does LELOI issue the credits?
No. LELOI is a support and connection platform. Verification and issuance are done by independent authorized bodies (VVB, registries).
How long until credits exist?
Typically 12–24 months to first issuance. Anyone promising credits in weeks is not being straight with you.
Do I have to change how I farm?
Usually not. The core requirement is keeping the forest standing and recording what you do.
Find out before you invest a year
Leave your details — we screen your area's carbon potential and tell you honestly whether it is worth pursuing. No fee, no commitment.
LELOI is a support & connection platform — not a certification body, verifier, registry or state authority. Readiness scores are indicative only, not official credit estimates; income depends on assessment, state regulation and the market, and is never guaranteed in advance.
